The groups in this area are considering new ways of utilizing the rapid developments in the media—from traditional print to cutting-edge electronics—as a means of bringing Zen to a wider audience in the modern world. Particular attention is being paid to developing new approaches to proselytization, such as the production of high definition videos featuring scenes of Zen gardens and interviews with Zen masters, and the introduction of new smartphone applications on Zen.
